of the inference track. how do i get it back on the track again? here my model. as you can see, the model started to get all messed up. i can fix it though, i just need to get the model back on inference. it looks all crooked. i tried adjusting it with the rotate tool, but it still looks crooked no matter what i do. it seems like its floating?

Pull as normal like in 3d software?
is there a way to do this? you know, so the pull doesn't pull in a straight line but rather a bent angular line? so once the line is in angular form i can then snap it to a inference line?

I had a thought that because people don't pay for SketchUp they don't value it like they would if they had to pay $200 for it. If you are willing to pay for it you are going to put in the effort to learn to get the most out of it.
nah thats not true at all. i love using the free version of sketchup. i found sketchup after finding tradtion 3d modeling software to hard to learn and to boring to learn and use. sketchup is fun! if version 7 comes out and its as good as i hope it will be ill spend the 495.00 for it. its not 200.00

Yes, it works (downloada on my office comp). A bit like the Twighlight Zone however
i like to listen to futurepop/darkelectro music so off course its a very dark looking theme as is the music i listen to
but i also listen to jazz, country, rap, rock, etc etc any kind of music as long as its good. but futurepop/darkelectro is my favorite thus designing my theme around it

Hi Tekkybot is there a style file with this for download? This forum is for requests, downloadable components, materials and styles.
If not I can move it to the Gallery.forget to attach style template it attached now i use this as my default theme. it utilizes straight edges because i like a nice clean image. hope you guys like it as much as i do

RE: Is there a way to do this? line slicing and insert vertex?
ok, im kicking myself for the insert vertex question. that was pretty dumb i think my second question does have some substance though. what happens when you drag the line too far, and you want to make it shorter, now your already 10 steps ahead of the drag, and it would take 10 undos, thus bringing you 10 steps backwards, in your project when all you want to do is make the line shorter. let me guess, you just select the line, and and delete it, and redo to wanted length right? sometimes i forget how simple the concepts can be in this program

New Wasteland Style For Sketchup
hey guys, i made a them cause i didn't like the default one. so here it is, it called wasteland. and is a dark synthetic theme

Is there a way to do this? line slicing and insert vertex?
is there a way to slice lines in sketchup? so lets say you have a particularly long line, and you want to shorten it, is there a way to slice off the extra length of the line? also, another question, is there a way to insert a vertex where ever i want it?

You are right. But also, think about it; many of the people who download and start using SU don't care too much about really learning the program since even from the very beginning they seem to be able to model things with ease. Then they get stuck at a level but that's enough for them and they do not even imagine how powerful application it can be in experienced hands.
exactly what i want to avoid. 'a comfort zone' its why i keep asking questions. and watch the tutorials when i have time
