Well, I'm not sure, but can you make a stand-alone (.exe) simulation / game from a model like I made in sketchup with physics in max, or do you have to script the model for it to work like that? (Seen in the movie)

For example: Rotate main rotating part: A slow down, W move faster (etc)

Hello, after alot of hard work and configuring, I got my attraction to work properly!

Well, now the problem is.. is there ANY way to export the model to (for example) 3DSMAX with the joint settings? (i.e gravity, rotations)

Or is something like that, easy to script / learn to script? (I want to make it public when it's finished) πŸ˜‰

      Thanks in advance!

Of course, as said before, Thank you very much for taking YOUR time getting it done.

Keep up the good work! πŸ˜‰

Each object is connected to 1 motor, each object is having his own motor.

      And I haven't copy + pasted ANYTHING 🀣

Ok, I will PM you Alienizer.

The only problem I can think of is that you have group your groups. Motors inside a group will no longer turn.

Nah, I do not place any motor in any group.

What I do is: Select an object, make it a group, then unselect the group, place the motor on the object I've made a group, and then connect them together.

If you want to take a look, let me know^^ (If you are experienced enough of course)

I've also exploded any component / group, so it becomes unique again, and then, as I said, make it a group again to make sure there ain't a group within a group.. If that's even possible.. lol

You need to use the "Join Connector" to connect the motor to your group. Do this for every group that needs to turn. Use a negative number in "MaxAccet" to rotate the other way. use one motor per group.

I did that, but its either buggy as hell or I am doing something wrong, or you don't understand what my problem is..

for these 'professionals' that think they can do it on MY model, go ahead πŸ˜‰

I've done what you said, (Which I've done for several times before), make each object that needs to turn, as a Group, then add a motor, and connect it to that group by using the joint connector.

Alright, seems easy, but there needs more fixing then just 'this'

EDIT: This is a small movie of the ride I trying to make, notice how it turns, thats what I mean / want to make

this doesn't have aything to do with sketchyphysics, post somehwere else.

      Why not?

I'm using a option called 'Motor' which comes with sketchyphysics, and I'm have problems getting it to work properly..

    • Motor - Different Rotations!

      Hello,

First of all, I'm fairly new here, and decided to join as I've got a problem / question, and this would be the best place to ask!

Alright, I use Windows XP SP3, together with SketchUp 7 Pro including SketchyPhysics 3 (BETA)

Ok here's the deal: (I will post 3 screenshots, each screen will show a certain object that I want to rotate, so it'll be easy to understand)

Screen 1: http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/5936/breakertest1.jpg (These 4 selected objects are a component right now, I want these to rotate to the right)

Screen 2: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/6566/breakertest2.jpg (This big round object, has to rotate to the left / clockwise)

Screen 3: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/8932/breakertest3.jpg (This small Object in the middle (Diamand) has to rotate to the right, same as on Screen 1)

So far I've been able to get the part which is on Screen 2, to rotate properly, aswell as the Diamand on screen 3, yet the 4 components shown on Screen 1, doesn't want to rotate, or just abit and stops after a while, it also doesn't want to move with the big object shown on Screen 2, it just hangs on the same spot it was originally.

      Thanks in advance!
