So I just got this super cool Surface Pro 3 with Windows 8.1 and downloaded my SketchUp to it. For some reason the keyboard shortcuts to select pen or tape etc. do not work. Also, it would be nice if I could enlarge the toolbar icons...
I'm not much of a blogger and don't know if I am in the right place - unless confusion is the right place. Mike? Gaius? It's overwhelming enough to get used to a new device with new ways of doing most everything ...
Thanks

can i just ask anyone from the US, is there much media coverage of our political process? it would be interesting to see if the same thing is going on over there!
The American media is blind to the rest of the world, unless there's a tragedy somewhere such as an earthquake, tsunami, etc. Since Reagan did such a good job, Maybe Chuck Norris is the solution!!

RE: Things you really LIKE
A dirty martini.
A good game of bridge.
Watching a building that I designed become a reality.
Canoeing and camping on rivers ... unfortunately, my camping buddy doesn't look so good to me anymore.
Hanging out at the leper colony at the 'plex.
The sound of crickets on a summer night.
Playing my guitar.
Shawshank and the Sound of Music.
These are a few of my favorite things. -
RE: The English Language!
Thanks, Mike. I have been having fun exploring this site. May even start a "thread" (if that's the right term). You will remember our conversation regarding the topic. Hope you have a good flight and enjoy touring New York.

RE: The English Language!
Thank you, Pete. Still fumbling around this website - feeling kind of primitive and ignorant, but having a good time.

RE: The English Language!
Well, I speak english, however the serial comma explanation on Wikipedia was somewhere over my head. In fact it was out in orbit over my head. We are making progress though. Consider the period: three sylables to identify a single small point. Now, it is no longer a period; it is a "dot" - isn't that better? And the elegant asterisk has been elevated to a star (speaking of extraterrestrial things).
That's all I have to say about that.
