RE: WIP exterior- need help
Did some minor changes, but I'm still having some problems with the clipmaps and although I increased the light cache subdivisions and reduced the noise threshold it turned out not so good, and the walls became a bit spotted. Or am I doing something wrong? What other settings would help? Texturing the pool is a real pain in the a$$...

RE: WIP exterior- need help
I kept the settings and reselution quite low, so the render time wouldn't be so big. The background was nice befor I destroyed it with PP and I think I should change the trees to bushess. Still struggling to get the grass right. I wonder what would be the right transparency/reflectivity ratio for the water in the pool?
Edit: There's something that has been bothering me for a long time- how do you change the size of the bump map if there is no difuse material(only solid colour)?

RE: Booktree (by me..)
Very nice video and design. I was waiting for the booktree forest to form some king of logo in the end. Just think it would have been interesting.

i like the perspective in last one. adding fumes and some heat in around engines. maybe an enemy missile chasing the jet? more textures!!! graphics!
At this point the only thing thats stopping me to make all that are my PS skills The missile gave me an idea to make a comic. Maybe I'll even back up a little from the realism to make it.

Fighter jet
Hey! Got my hands on some panoramic sky images and figured to bring them for a test. Mirrored them in PS to make a reflection of them to be the sea. Then I used them as the background and light sourse in VfSU. A little playing around in PS and this is what I got In the end I couldn't get the horizont right so that would explain the angle. Maybe later I'll try to make a scene with the sea and the heat fumes comming out of the engine.
Any suggestions to improve the scene? The models from 3dWH

RE: Quick IES test with the new Vray SU
Wonderfull, I can never get the shadows to be so soft. Where there any more light sources in the scene other than the IES lights? And could you please show the construction of the light ficture?

Speaker, how about outside the windows, and seasonal accessories?-)
I've already tried applying some pictures from eirikso's time lapses, but eventually I decided that I have to leave a common background, because the palette is the important part that should show what season interior it is. In this case it's just a matter of PP, so I could try to make something up after a moment. I really don't know about what accessories are you talking about

Season Ineriors
Hey!
I've got an assignment at school where I have to paint an interior in four different season palettes. We could chose any tehnique we want, so ofcoure I was the one who wants to stand out and the teacher also was very interested in my idea.
The model itself is quite simple, so the rendering wouldn't take too much time.
I know there are a lot of interior disigners and overall people with some knowlage about colour, so I'm asking for some criticism, because chosing the wright colours for my model has always been a hard part for me.Any comment will be appreciated

RE: How to Post Pics
Very good
Also a video posting tutorial would be very helpful, because as a newbie I was really strugling to make it work. Maybe a common pined topic in the newbie forum for such tutorials would be a good Idea?

A bathroom for this week. Winter holidays are about to start, so I'll have a lot of time to practice V-ray and bring you some good stuff

Very nice, I really like the first 2 images you posted, they've got a warm mood/feeling to it.
Greetings
Yes, seems that the god rays always do trick . It was especially noticable with the first interior I made. But enought of that, I think I should concentrate more on the render itself rather than the PP
