I have a shape bender problem that I haven't found info on in other threads. When i use it it doesn't bend to curve but moves object towards end of curve.

so when i use shape bender i get the grid after pressing both the straight line and curved line but when i press enter it just moves my object randomly on the screen. It does not bend the object to the path.
Thoughts?
