Downloaded a bunch of new materials for V-Ray and used them as an excuse to bang out this scene as a test. Check it out.

Time for a new computer
I have never had a slowdown due to memory in Sketchup on my Intel i7 Ivy Bridge overclocked at 4.7ghz, Nvidia GTX 670 4gb, 16gb RAM, 256gb SSD.
That is fantastic quality rendering, please don't make it your LAST render in Vray for Sketchup
Getting into presentation beauty shots for a client. These are my first attempts. Check em out!
Nice render, the cloth looks fantastic! The lightbulbs are intentionally large I would assume?
As promised the photos of the finished sign, ready to be installed on Friday! Very exciting to see my work come to fruition!
Check it out...
Thanks for all the props, I enjoy architectural rendering and couldn't do it without the great plugins, this community, and of course Sketchup. The biggest reason for using Maxwell is I cannot for the life of me get the Vray plugin to render 2 point perspective with the views that I set up. Anybody know how to do that?
The theater lobby in Vray.
The theater is located in Albion, Michigan. http://www.bohmtheatre.org/
Unfortunately it was a 4 day project for everything start to finished renders (interior and exterior) modeling from CAD design plans, hence the focus on just the important areas and elimination of any unnecessary modeling. I plan to finish it on my own time just because of the uniqueness of the project. The original photo from the 1940's?? was included for reference, find it attached below.
The letters are physical letters that clip onto the bars, modeled directly from the shop drawings, not my decision but the clients On a positive note the project meets all codes and the sign is being constructed starting this week. Excited for taking photos of the finished sign to compare.
Its a complete restoration of an old community theater. The client is having the sign completely rebuilt at a cost almost $200,000, as well as the interior completely renovated to original colors and specifications. An exciting project to say the least
A quick Maxwell render for a Theater Neon Sign Renovation. Thought it came out great
It was some freaky side effect of using multilight and then post processing it in photoshop it is all Maxwell + Photoshop using a dramatic HDRi with no masking for the sky, I am currently working on a revision that eliminates that effect. Client wants the image to "pop" for marketing purposes.
@Daniel its Ann Arbor, they see $1000/month per bed and build giant student housing projects left and right. Its great for my business The building behind is existing
That's how the camera is in Lumion, super wide with no 2 point perspective option. Which for an Architectural rendering software is a bit counter intuitive.
Final Renders on this project, I fixed the low res trees and rendered the clients two color options.
Clients design for city approval, still a fun modeling project different from the usual
