Neon Sign Project
-
Unfortunately it was a 4 day project for everything start to finished renders (interior and exterior) modeling from CAD design plans, hence the focus on just the important areas and elimination of any unnecessary modeling. I plan to finish it on my own time just because of the uniqueness of the project. The original photo from the 1940's?? was included for reference, find it attached below.
The letters are physical letters that clip onto the bars, modeled directly from the shop drawings, not my decision but the clients On a positive note the project meets all codes and the sign is being constructed starting this week. Excited for taking photos of the finished sign to compare.

I know you have to show it in today's context. I was just playing along . .. feeling nostalgic.
I gotta say tho'. .. if your client sticks to just running the Monte Cristo picture. . .he's gonna lose his shirt.
All do respect to the late Mr. Calhoun

The four day time-line is no excuse - you only need four hours of sleep a day.
Looks like a perfect match to the historic photo.

Great project! May I ask where it is located?
-
Beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished construction.

Bravo!

Good skills sea bass.

Thanks for all the props, I enjoy architectural rendering and couldn't do it without the great plugins, this community, and of course Sketchup. The biggest reason for using Maxwell is I cannot for the life of me get the Vray plugin to render 2 point perspective with the views that I set up. Anybody know how to do that?

There should be a two-point option under the Sketchup camera tab. Aside from that, just make sure you don't have any lens shift in your Vray camera settings. Awesome project, by the way!
