This is for those who are looking to buy the components individually and build their own PC, which could result in significant savings not to mention the ability to customize your machine to your specific purposes. One thing I have read is that SketchUp does not take advantage of multiple cores so you might take that into consideration when choosing a computer/chipset. Good luck with your search!

I just introduced SketchUp to the design/build firm I started working for recently. They love being able to show clients detailed models of their designs, complete with site info, materials, shadows, etc. I would like to up the ante a bit and begin using a rendering engine and creating fly-through clips that we can send to clients. Since this purchase will be out of pocket for me (I already own SU8 pro), price is a big consideration. From what I have been able to find online, it seems that RenderIn and Podium would be within my price range. Other than price though, I know nothing about these programs. Is one better than the other in quality, features, render time, ease of use, etc? Thanks in advance for any info!
