It is certainly right to go 2D first.

And the shift + double click idea is cool. πŸ‘ Is it in the help file or hidden feature?

View > Edge Style > deselect Edge

That lets me select only faces. Cool! Thanks a lot for the hint.

My method may be very inefficient since Joint Push Pull takes quite a few minutes to process all faces. In your method (bottom up), you made small pieces and them group them together. Is that right? Thanks!

      Hi,

I am a newbie here and to SU. Thanks for this great forum and lots of help!!

I am working on a trellis model. Instead of making laths and crossing them together, I made a flat panel and cut away diamond shapes. The diamonds were copied into an 2D array distribution. Then I used the Joint Push Pull plugin to push (cut) into the panel. For some reason, the push-in does not open the holes but leave diamond shaped faces on the other side. I can select those faces (not including boundaries) and then delete them to open up the holes, but there were 400 to go. πŸ‘Ž

So I would appreciate any help or suggestions to make it. Also, I wonder if there is a way to drag-select faces but not their boundaries, so that they can be deleted in one move.

      Thanks!
