I'm trying to create a set of dynamic interior door components. Single swing, double swing, pocket, etc. Making a dynamic frame and simple door leaf is easy. Here's the problem - I want to nest a dynamic door leaf component into the frames components. The leaf itself has to be dynamic because it is stile & rail, and it has to be its own component so it can be edited in one location and all the others update. The trouble is as soon as I make the leaf respond to changes in the frame around it, Sketchup makes the door leaf a unique component and gives it a new name. If my original leaf was called LEAF, inside the frame component it becomes LEAF#1. Any edits applied to the original LEAF component do not apply to the renamed copies. Defeats the purpose of having components in the first place.

Has anyone found a way around this?
