    • Photo rendering for a complete noob

      Hi.

I have gotten to a decent standard building models in SU and would now like to begin applying better realism to the build.

So far i'm just using imported pictures as textures and using the stock textures and materials.

What is the best way to texture to set up good photorealistic rendering? Ie, would using more realistic textures be better when i come to photo render or are the stock ones ok?

And finally, can someone point me to a tutorial or something on how photorendering works?

I've downloaded Maxwell and it confuses me so much.

So far i understand that you can choose to add effects to the textures and that will then import the model to the rendering program and render it for ages.

      Any help appreciated, thanks.
