    • RE: Align a cylinder to another component in 3D

thanks, but I cannot move the top center as the actual components has no top face. I really need to use one of the face of the cylinder.

Just to be clear: I need to set the axis of the cylinder parallel to one of the edge of the box using just the cylinder surface. The actual object is much more complicated.

    • Align a cylinder to another component in 3D

      Hi everyone,

I am a newbie. I looked around but I couldn't find a solution to this.

In my project, I have a component (a pretty complex truss) misaligned respect to another. How to align it to ANOTHER component? The problem is that the component to be aligned is a cylinder. Therefore, anytime I try to put it in contact with the other component, the contact edge is hidden and I cannot use the interference.

I add a picture showing what happen. Note that the original project I am working is much more complicated and I cannot use, for example, the cylinder base to do the job. The only way is to actually tilt the cylinder and align it to one of the edge of the box. I hope to have been clear enough. I searched online for a tutorial about this, but everything seems to use components like cylinders.
