There are some detailed plans here http://www.highriskadventures.com/airships/lz129/ They certainly helped me with my own Zeppelin project

RE: WIP Ocean Liner
The only interiors will be the Bridge and the sports bar aft, where the tennis court is. I would do others but she is meant to go into VS and you have to be conservative on the polys unless you want to crash the game.

RE: WIP Ocean Liner
Thanks, i would have thought there are many more ways of doing a hull that are much easier, like delftship but even that program can be hard to master. Tinanne thanks for the tip much appreciated
I have a few minor updates, i haven't been doing much work on her due to SU playing up. here they are:
I also have an image of her in VS:
Regards, Patrick.
P.S. sorry for the images being cut off.

RE: WIP Ocean Liner
Well, first if she is a ship pre-1980 for the sheer you do this:
if you want the how to be higher than the stern or viceversa you simply rotate the model but make sure the two lines that indicated in the pic go up the blue axis.
After that you then copy the cure spaced equally apart down the hull:
Then draw virtical lines through each section of the curve:
You then select all and intersect with model.
Do what is shown in the pics:
To make the shape of the hull simply pull each point out for you desired look:
You do the same to the stern except leave a gap for the curve to go:
to make the curve of the stern you simply connect the two sides by drawing curves (but make sure the angle of the curve keeps with the sheer of the ship:
Make sure all the curves are connected aswell.
As for under the waterline follow the pics:
The stern is a bit more complicated but for now just do the same as the bow but place a keel in the middle.
I apologise for my inability to write instructions well. This method is the result of 2 years on SU. I'm sure there are many many easier ways to do a hull.
You can always do a flared bow (see QM2 bow) too but it is best to focus on the simpler things first.
Anyway thanks for the comments there are no updates yet;
Thanks, Patrick

I was going to post some but Photobucket won't upload them. I will try tomorrow.
Patrick,
Edit- I will attach them instead, there isn't that much detail anyway, it is early days

WIP Ocean Liner
Hello, this is the first time I have show a project properly on here, i have had a short break from moddeling and have started on this new project. She will be released on VS along with 2 other ships from different era's one of which i have already shown partly on the 'Components, Materials & Styles'
section. They are all for a fictional Liner company called 'Crown Line'.
I have named this ship T.S. Belle and am really trying to make sure she lives up to her name :p. She (if real) was launched in 1931 and completed her maden voyage in 1932. She will be able to reach 30 knots but will have a service speed of 27 knots. Anyway here she is:Any feedback would be great
Thanks, Patrick.

RE: White metal with rivets Texture.
I would like to put the texture on the white superstructure. I was hoping for a look similar to this:
I'm very sorry for my lack of knowledge about textures
Thanks, Patrick

White metal with rivets Texture.
Hello,
I am currently working on three projects but i am mainly focusing on this one at the moment:
I was wondering if anyone has a white riveted metal texture for me to use on her, it would really add something.
Thanks, Patrick

RE: A Welcome Message to New SketchUcation Members
Hello, My name is Patrick. I have been using sketchup for some time now, mainly to make ships and putting them onto Virtual sailor. I joined to see if i can learn anything new and have a look at what can be achieved with SU.
Regards, Patrick.
