thanks for your help but it doesn't work for me ...I did as you told me - even tried different gluing plane settings but I always end up with a component that stays on top of whatever surface I 'll put it on ...
would you mind posting the file with the modification you did so I can spy it and see where I fail ...

Hi all, I've got a cut out problem on a component and can't figure why it doesn't behave as it should ... if someone here can help me figuring out where's the problem I'll be grateful... I'm surely missing something but I may be dumb tho ...
the skippy's attached ... it should work like the one on the left but without having to intersect with the model ...
any guess ?
