Hi Gaieus
This is an isolated part of an illustration drawn in Adobe Illustrator. The tanks have been drawn using a simple single point perspective and I have hidden many layer worth of detail. The arrows mentioned are a late requested addition to the illustration. I have since drawn them to match this perspective in Adobe Illustrator. PhotoMatch is great when working in two and three point perspective but does not seem to be designed to work with one point (which is fare enough as I know I am not using SketchUp in its intended way).
My Workflow:
In this case I am using Adobe Illustrator to create a Technical Illustrations in vector format for print. I sometimes use Sketchup and other 3D apps to quickly add very complex or organic elements to my illustrations. I do this by PhotoMatching my illustration and then model the element needed. I export a snapshot of the PhotoMatched element and trace it into my illustration (usually) with great results. This saves me vast amounts of time in construction.
I do realise if I were to buy the Pro version of SketchUp, I could export the vectors and have no need to trace.
Thanks again for your time.
Nick
