It's been a while since the last challenge, glad to say that Scottpara has kindly allowed us to use one of his models for this new challenge.

Use any render engine as always, have fun.

this looks very good. Nice modern asian style. Are you going to render it?

I have rendered some but the page says I cannot upload them because of the wrong pixels. 😎

    • A bridge, my work of Structural Competition

I formed a team with two of my classmates and took part in structural competition. We do structural analysis of this model with structural software with relatively less consideration of art.
After rendering model I export 2D pics with the same viewpoint and put all of them into Photoshop to have overlay style. I found that I could get styles like what can be done with Piranesi.

Really nice lighting, good job. 👍 I don't like the stone texture: it's distracting and also is bad placed on corners where the mortars don't join. Better a more "neutral" material IMHO. Oh and perhaps you can softening a bit the shadows in the last two renders.

I am gonna try it again with your words~ 😄

    • Some statues in houses

Being busy with my graduation thesis, and trying to find something fun. So I sketched this little model in ten mins and put two kinds of statues into it and used other software to change colors of them. Rendered by Artlantis.

      Feedback are welcome 😄

It's an interesting concept with the cross shape opening letting the light in. A (somewhat) similar thing can be seen here - but with artificial lighting (at about 1 minute in the sideshow). It's now the glass cover of some ancient, Early Christian ruined underground.

Yep, that would be great if lighting is set in this pic.

It would be interesting to introduce smoke or fog in the first image to create a "god ray."

I have the same will to get it done in PhotoShop. 😄

    • 2 kinds of Church

2 kinds of church, just for design
The first two pics are surely what I prefer and maybe this church has already been put into reality, really love it; for the third, it offers me amazing feels about space and colors and the situation reminds me of Greek~~~^_^

And the rendering job is done by Artlantis.

One model in a competition held online in SU Rendering of China.
      Using Podium to manage it.
A little dark, I still have no idea how to change it...

I think it is of great joy to render works, so make a small scene in it~~~

    • ART works and some thoughts

Artlantis can be a really good partner with SU for its high speed.
This time I use one SU teacher's model to learn ART, want to have a whole view of it but fail to find a reasonable way of viewing. Just rendering three pics with not very good material showing. What impressed me is its concepts model shows.
Those semitransparent solids are added by me, looks like city plan. Hehe~~~I major in Civil Engineering but not City Plan, a little poor.... 😆

      Feedback welcome.
