Your usual standard is maintained but I like the flow of this one more. Bar up and move.

Thanks Mike. Took 3 days to complete this bad boy but I think it was worth it. The flow is much more relaxed, which is a nice change from my more 'uplifting' variations. Although, with slower animations it's more difficult to retain audience engagement. You can't win 'em all.

    • 'Proper' Showreel

      Hey peeps,

Don't worry, no gimmicky animations this time. Just a more 'professional' (booooo) showreel of my work. Obviously, me being me, there's a few twists and turns but in comparison to my usual videos, this is pretty straightforward.

This was created using the latest version of After Effects - I stumbled upon a template that really appealed to me and set about editing it to suit. Gotta be honest, it probably took longer for me to edit than it did to create it. Either way, I'm pretty happy with the final result.

    • A New Animation!

I've been feeling restless recently. I knew exactly what the problem was: I hadn't created an animation for quite a while.

I decided to right that wrong.

      Here goes!

    • I'm a Freakin' Maxwell Render Xpert!!

Sounds hard to believe, right?! If anything I put the PERT in Xpert! But seriously, Maxwell Render emailed me yesterday and asked if I'd be interested in being a Maxwell Render Xpert!

How cool is that??! does a few star-jumps and cartwheels

I don't feel like I deserve the title 'expert' but hey, who am I to argue?!

good stuff, only crit is everything seems a bit "floaty" like nothing actually touches the floor....can you bump up AO or something?

Whilst there are shadows, I see your point - at this stage, the simple answer to that is no! lol I don't want to upset the image with noise etc. You know how tricky it can be to get the right balance. To be honest, it is a brightly lit room, with a light floor.

Let's see, if I remember correctly I had 4 days to construct the space and add the interior elements for the original project.

You'll have to forgive me, I'm a bit slow today (living in 3D world does that to a person). Do you mean how long did it take me to create the 3D model?
