    • Dynamic Components quick delete.

      Hi,

Just a quick question relating to being able to quick delete the dynamic component formula's of certain items.

After a few months learning dynamic components to ease the drawing and manipulation of cabinets for a furniture manufacture, I recently found a problem with the system. After creating components within components with dynamic capabilities like drawer boxes, table tops etc, I needed to explode and break each item down into indidual parts to create a visual cutting list and purchasing Rec.

Is there a way of quick deleting all component attributes (mainly the position formula) of an item in one move, rather than having to indivudally delete each line of formula on each part, something than can be extremely frustrating and time consuming with large assembly's.

I feel that there may be an obvious solution to this question, in which case I apologise. However, in the few months I have been exploring dynamic components I haven't come across a solution.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Nick

      Thank you very much

Not only is the written information very useful in understanding dynamic components better, but the model (which works perfectly) gives me something to deconstruct and reference to for future models.

Dynamic components has a steep learning curve but am slowly grasping the basics with practise and help from people like yourself.

Your time and patience is greatly appreciated.

      Thank you again

Just a quick question related to keeping the gap between multiple components equal.

I'm drawing a plinth box for a cabinet unit that can be manipulated in length and width easily, whilst keeping even gaps between support dividers.

What I want to achieve is having the support dividers remain equal distances from both ends of the plinth box, no matter the width. What's more, if the gap between support dividers and end gables/other support dividers exceeds 400mm, it adds an additional support and re positions them all to equal distances again.

Ive managed to achieve the multiple formula, with support dividers appearing as the plinth box gain length, but cannot manage to keep the gaps equal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

%(#000080)[New to this, but looking for some help on writing the formula for this task

I've got a drawer runner that changes its length (LenY) in relation to the drawer box, with all the screw holes etc staying in position and size.

What I am trying to achieve is that when the drawer runner exceeds 45cm in length, an addtional 6 screw holes appear fixed in place. Then, if the drawer runner is re sized to smaller than 45cm, they disappear again.

I've got a basic grasp of the multiples formula, but am struggling to apply this once past the required distance.

      Any help would be appreciated

      Cheers]
