Alas, I too have found this plugin freezes in Sketchup 2013. I tried closing all dialogs, particularly the outliner, scenes and layers, and no luck. Pity.

RE: Bugs in SU Pro 2013 & Layout (Mac)
Yes, I'm having similar problems, many different actions can cause it. And for me, it's a full system crash every time!
I've sent several console reports to Sketchup. I can recreate it by moving the fog sliders, that will always kill it!
A few minutes ago, I was trying to move a section plane, that also killed it.
I've removed all my extensions and add-ons, set the autobackup to 1 min, and I save compulsively, so I never really lose much, it's just very annoying. I've purged files, but it appears unrelated to the file.
Layout is not suffering any problems, fortunately.
I'm on a Mac Pro, OS X 10.8.3.
Is anyone else having problems? I can't find any comments from Trimble Sketchup.
Kind Regards,
Michael Hund
UPDATE!!!
In another post, another user mentioned that OS X was causing his problems. I recalled that I hadn't seen these problems until I upgraded to Sketchup 2013, but actually, I upgraded to OS X 10.8.3 at around the same time. When I upgraded, I created a clone of the old install, and I've just booted it instead. I can open all the problem files, do all the things that crash the system, and there are no problems. So it appears, at least for me, that the problems are related to the confluence of Sketchup 2013 (which has been the only app to display problems) and OS X 10.8.3.
I've decided to downgrade OS X to 10.8.2, until these issues can be sorted out. I tried opening the Sketchup 2013 files in Sketchup 8, and it doesn't work, so that downgrade isn't a happening thing!
I hope this may help others.
Kind Regards,
Michael Hund
UPDATE 2
Well, that took hours, and didn't solve the problem! I downgraded from OS X 10.8.3 to 10.8.2, and that went OK, I used an old clone. But the problem was not solved. However, I had Sketchup 8 installed in that clone, and that seems not to suffer the problems. I installed Sketchup 2013 beside it, opened the old files and saved them as Sketchup 8 files, then proceeded. So far, so good
DISCLAIMER - I should mention that I'm not running on Mac hardware, and this issue could be related to that, even though it's clearly also related to Sketchup 2013, the only app among hundreds that I've had a problem with. (Of course, it's an essential one for me!)
