Sorry it took me so long to reply, Ive been preparing for a design presentation so been pretty flat out!

I'm no expert on styles, but what Chris Fullmer was saying in the other forum above is that if you use a the hidden line style as your base and tweak it so that edges aren't displayed, when it comes to export the jpeg the lines are still visible.

However if you use the shaded style (the one which shows you which way faces are facing - not the colured shaded style) and uncheck display edges it works fine on export.

That make sense?

I'm sure this has been explained somewhere previously, but I've had no luck finding it as yet: With making a shadows only style, following the steps above, I can still see outlines on some objects (particularly it seems they are mostly fairly thin objects with round profiles). Am I missing something?

I was just wondering how the update works if one is using your window tools as part of Cadfather's SCF toolbars.

Any difference, or do we just do the same as in the txt. file?

Its basically a completely different program!

From my experience the IES plugin is incompatible with a whole host of scripts. It gave me problems with zorro (as part of SubSmooth), SectionCutFace, as well as others i can't recall.

So i found out the problem i was having was because of the "EIS environmental plugin". After removing it SectionCutFace worked fine.

I also found out that the zorro tool in the SubdivideSmooth plugin was also being effected. It also kept blugsplatting (which was abnormal) but when i removed the EIS plugin it worked just fine.

I know absolutely nothing about ruby but I'm guessing something must be up with this plugin. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

Anyway, it's all good. I just removed the EIS plugin and everything's sweet. But perhaps the relevant authors might want to take a look!?

I just tried SectionCutFaceV2.0 on my work computer (which has way less rubies installed) and it worked fine first time.(Cool script BTW) So i'm thinking that your guess might be spot on. I'll have a look at it when i get home, but it might take a while cos I've got stacks of rubies in my plugins folder.

Hey guys, was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I've been having with SectionCutFace.rb V2.0

Anytime I try to use this ruby i get a bug-splat, even on the most simple of shapes!

I've tried restarting my computer, tried deleting the ruby from my plugin folder then reinstalling it, and i've also tried older versions of the ruby (V1.7 i think), but each time the result is an extremely quick bug-splat!

I have no idea what's going on as i haven't seen anyone else with the same problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I've often wanted to do similar stuff but wasn't sure if this kind of ruby was already in existence.

If some genius out there could pull something together I would love them forever!

But yeh I guess we'll just have to wait and see for the time being...

I'm also having trouble with this plugin.

I have no idea how to use it properly.

It displays when I open sketchup but I don;t know how to get my plugins into it.

I know there may be problems with translation (ie Chinese - English) for the author of the script but a user guide or something would be awesome if someone is able!
