So I have never rendered before and have used Sketchup briefly for work. I liked it so much that I will use at home just to play with. My question is how did you guys as professionals began? Did you use rendering tools in Linux or Windows? Does that even matter? Did draw out your design first then bring it life? Do you use a mouse or tablet? These may be stupid questions, I'm just curious to know how I should start.
