I'm new to modeling & Google Earth, so plz bear with me....

I'm trying to import a solar parking array onto a location I've imported from GE. It says, "choose new location or preserve location". I choose new location. The model comes up with the Foothills background - and I chose the model that I thought was a component. My location is still there too, but I really don't know how to reposition the component... I move the Move/Copy cursor, get an hourglass (wait) and nothing. I will be very grateful for some assistance on this... thx....

Hi & thank you for your assistance. I've gotten the color onto my model now.

I've another question about importing a model from the 3D warehouse. I wanted the Foothills solar parking array, clicked download, and received a message "same location or reposition" or something to that nature. I said reposition. It took so long, I thought it didn't work & started scouring the forums again. It worked, except it's at the Foothills location, which does me no good at my location! Any suggestions? thx!

You mentioned the Google Earth forum? Where, plz, is it located? thx....

I'll be modeling the buildings of the parking lots I'm doing and checked out the parameters already to ensure they get accepted. And I really like the feature that I can add them as 3D onto my blog. Ok, back to learning SketchUp7!

I am new to sketchup and am having a spot of difficulty. I'm using SU7 and am trying to add color on a Google Earth image. So I go back to Google Earth, save an image of my location, import and click "use as texture". This gives me no cursor in SU7, it's a circle with a line thru it. Appreciate any assistance... thx so much.......
