Guess this didn't get posted yesterday as I thought it did. My design parameters for this "swirl" are as follows. 10'-6" high with an 84" base. The softserve type swirl model will be needed to separate for transport/erection in height sections from base at 48", then another 42" with 36" top piece. All of the methods described above appear to be beyond my current skill level with SketchUp. Could one of you wizards out there construct this model?

RE: Ice Cream Swirl
Thank you. I will study this and see if it can help. Seems a little beyond me yet. And I'm still open for more suggestions from the talented users out there.

Ice Cream Swirl
I'm looking for a way to depict an ice cream swirl like that from a soft serve machine. I have seen the ice cream examples in the warehouse but am hoping this has been tackled by someone with better SketchUp skills than I have. Could a circle be used with "follow me" on an upward spiral center post? The circle would need to get progressively smaller as it "twirled" upward. Suggestions/solutions please.

File Sizes
Is there a naverage file size I should be using? Seems it is slow to save and manipulate over 35. Also any suggestions on how to strip out the extra layers from components inserted in to a drawing?
