My mother was a Geordie from Newcastle upon Tyne TIG. She was always proud of being a Geordie.
I never have more than two meals a day.
I start the day with strong coffee from freshly ground beans around 6am. It's the only coffee I have all day usually. I have a brunch around 11am and a main meal later in the evening with wine. I never eat the whole meal. I love cooking and eat whatever I like, but I'm a taster, not an eater.
That way I keep my weight around where it should be for my height. We eat too much IMO.
If you download the latest google earth you will find Google Sky has been added. A full map of the universe.
Here's another cool building based around a pond. It's the Red Bull HQ.

An entire chile is an all- out assault on the senses, akin to swigging a cocktail of battery acid and glass shards...
as I understand it the chilli is addictive in the same way long distance running or swimming is. Apparently chilli makes the body believes it's on fire and the brain releases endorphines to sooth the anticipated pain - these endorphines are addictive and the more chilli you eat - the more chilli you want to eat.
very interesting Mike - thanks for posting.
You could build them on a floating platform 10 miles off the coast and no one would notice them.

Yes - I think you are probably right, I think I'm referring to a Boys school he designed later, not the ag colleges. I gather they rang him on Friday to tell him he'd won, the roof blew off on the weekend and he rang them on the Monday and said he could not accept the award.

Ah yes Bernard - was that the one that was nominated for a Sulman Award on friday, and the roof blew off on Saturday. It would have been Ian's third Sulman but it was not be.
I never met Philip, I knew Ian in the late 70's early 80s after that period. I lived on his block and helped build his house in Byron and later in Sydney.

Philip? not sure who you mean.

yes Bernard - I like his work. All his work has those clean lines.
I spent a lot of time with Ian McKay.
As you are in Brisbane spend a balmy day and drive down to the new Ivory Hotel in Tweed Heads. Excellent food and the design is very nice IMHO.

I was most impressed with the Apollo Bridge in Bratislava. Beautiful simple lines.

This sport/activity has fascinated me - are we progressing to a belief that we can fly??
should solve the obesity problem though
I subscribe to Formfonts and I appreciate the Formfont layer as it reminds me what items are theirs.
I use it as Alan suggested, when I need something , I go get it.
I'm still hoping for more musicians Alan - I desperately need a guitarist
with long hair maybe

As far as I can gather the two leading communities in alternative energy are Germany and California. In both cases it is due to the lead provided by government.
I lived with alternative energy for 5 years. I had a solar power system with inverter and deep cycle batteries, a solar/wet back hot water system and I pumped water with a Ram pump. My only external energy source was LPG gas for cooking and a small fridge.
It does help to make you energy conscience.

Yes - I've been waiting for this outcome Mike. as you say - fingers crossed, but I wouldn't hold my breath
