All three words are synonymous. In the U.S. I think most would use the term ottoman.

Thanks for your explonation and compliment. I have searched on these words but each word have several meanings, some of them are a bit weird. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

I tried modeling a sofa once - looked like it was carved from stone.

I hope these models makes it a bit easier

When you texture your Models do you use a certain Software for uvw?

      Hi Twtytom,

      Thanks!

For UV mapping models there are some nice tools available.

      • Roadkill UV Tool (Free)
      • UVLayout ($100 for 12 months license)
      • Ultimate Unwrap 3D ($49,95 for all-time use, as far as I now)

Both UVLayout and Ultimate Unwrap 3D have a free demo available on their website.

I hope this is useful. Good luck!

      Hi SketchUp users,

As an introduction to my latest model pack the following question to you guys. The small furniture accessory that fits perfectly in every living room, what is the proper name?

      Pouf, footstool or ottoman?

I would like to hear what you folks think!

Fact: It is a โ€˜poefโ€™ in dutch!

Download the model pack from the SketchUcation Shop:

Like Pete, if I can get the timeโ€ฆ I will. However, just the fact that there is another challenge for rendering is an encouraging thing. Thanks for giving the opportunity.

Thanks! I hope that "the render this contests" will be a success. So I can give you more giveaways to play with in the future.

      Hi people.

I noticed that itโ€™s been a while since the last โ€˜Render thisโ€™ topic came by. That is why I want to re-introduce it with a free giveaway model I give you all.

For this โ€˜Render thisโ€™ Iโ€™m giving you an old camera model with various accessories. The goal for the participants is to render an original composition with the models provided. Which render method or style to use is for the creativity of the participant.

Iโ€™m looking forward to your renders!
