You just draw line between them and use such "colapser" no mater how far vertices are from each other. It could be very useful in modeling unregular, organic, dirt models... bodies, faces, cars, because it would save lot of time.

In v1.1 there is a function to collapse all to a point, but it's an average point. I got in development the next version which has a Merge/Collapse to Point where you pick the point where you want the selected vertices to merge to.

This could be made also as option to Eraser. For example, with holding ctrl+alt+mouse I select lines must be collapsed and with releasing they collapse at average point. If selected lines/goups of lines are not connected with each other, they collapse in their own average point. Anyway, for comfortable use it must be tool which You can shortcut on keyboard.

I got some similar feature in Vertex Tools, let you collapse vertices close to each other. But it's not a free plugins though, $20.

Trying to think of alternatives, but I can't remember from the top of my head right now. Maybe someone else here has suggestions.

Collapsing close lines and vertices is very useful feature to clean up mesh form small faces appeared form some operations. Could be some special toolbox for cleanup with different such tools.
But my wish is not realated only with close lines. My suggested tool could help also to conect vertices as in other 3d modeling applications. You just draw line between them and use such "colapser" no mater how far vertices are from each other. It could be very useful in modeling unregular, organic, dirt models... bodies, faces, cars, because it would save lot of time.

I'm sure this all makes perfect sense to you but I think you better draw the rest of us a picture.

      Happy New Year to everyone!
Tried to find in google, maybe this feature is in some plugin/script package. If not - suggest to make such tool. So idea is to gather edge into its centerpoint with all connected lines. This is very useful if You need to cleanup and optimize wireframe after intersection process.

Maybe it also possible to make script which removes in such way all lines smaller then some given varialbles. also could be useful for cleanup of large terrain objects, organic forms. Could be included in Sandbox
One more suggestion for sketchup makers. Such tools as subdivide and proportional edit are must in any 3d modeling application, not as paid plugin. Many SU users could be kept, if not such shortage. I am forced to master my models in other applications as blender. That must mean something.
