I like HDRI's, I work with them as much as I can, but I always had to make some tricks, to get a decent result. My biggest problem was the fact that, I can't get the shadows of my models on the background( like Hypershoot does very well), so I had to make some geometry to put my models on top, to get what I want. So, keep in mind, always put something under your models, and put it on the higher ground, because you will never get the perfect match with the hdri. Here one of my example:
Hi, I am having same problem of no shadows of the models when use HDR images as background. The one way i found on some website that to make the ground with some transparent effect but receiving shadows. so in result, object's shadows appear on and feels like shadows on the background image. I just found this idea but unable to do. The website showed the tutorial of Vray on 3dMax but the GUi of Shetchup Vray is different and im unable to do so.
Kindly share your comments and any way out to do same.
thx
