    • RE: Question about Models

They can. However, it depends on the format. Newer Evermotion packs come as a .max file so you need to open it in 3dsMax and convert it to either a .3ds file or an .obj.

I find that Dosch models are more user friendly to renders that are not 3dsMax, seeing as they usually come with .obj and textures.

Damn, thats one good v-ray render. If it wasn't for the sky and foreground tree I could have sworn it was an Arlantis Render. Good Job.

    • Frank Lloyd Wright Project [Update 2-25]

FLW is one of my all time favorite Architects and so I decided to reconstruct one of my favorite homes he designed. The Storer House in LA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storer_House_%28Los_Angeles,_California%29

In order to create as detailed and as realistic model as possible, I have been working off the HABS documents, however they were recorded in the 70s. I noticed that a front gate was added as well as a few other small changes, probably when they restored it in the 80s and early 90s. I would ultimatly like to do a Full reconstruction of the house, but Interior images are few if non existant.

      So far...

The Concrete Tiles which Clad the House.

      And the Garage.

If anyone has any reference Pictures to help me I would greatly Appreciate it.

Any tips on how you achieve the brickwork looking so realistic as yours. I've tried bump maps and never came close to your results.

That was an Artlantis Shader from v1 that I modified slightly.

    • RE: Vue 7 Infinite

Well, this seems to be the place to ask questions about Vue so...

I've browsed these forums for some time, but this is my first Post here. I work as an Architect and have been using Artlantis for about 2 years now. I recently got Vue and have used it to make various scenes and interesting backdrops, but as far as anything architectural I have done nothing, mainly due my fondness of Artlantis. I have dabled in 3DS Max and found it to be overwhelming, but I do love the vast array of Shaders that can be used in it. I'm growing increasingly aware of my program's shortcomings, the inability to do complex landscapes, and am looking to bridge the gap with VUE...

So my Questions to the more experienced people

What Format are VUE Shaders in?

Can I Use .max Textures from 3DS?

If so, how and where do I install them to?
