May be someone can confirm: I see a SketchUpExporter.dll in the Google Earth program directory but no importer. May I be missing a file for some reason?

RE: SU 6 Pro fails to place model to GE (Google Earth)
Just back from the Google SU forum and it appears that has been identifed by other people as being tied to the latest GE version. Searching on "place model" resulted in a few hits...

Note that as explained, the export / import to GE works ok, so it's manageable (but requires more keystrokes)....
On second reading, the post on SU forum is a year old, so makes me wonder...

RE: SU 6 Pro fails to place model to GE (Google Earth)
Not sure how to geo reference it but here come the pieces. As you will see, I would not call this quite a complex model . I think I may have to try repair/re install GE and SU unless someone comes with some idea. I was hoping that may be there is hidden config file that needs to point to the proper directory (although I would then expect a similar problem to get the place)...
Note: It seems that I can only attach two files so I zipped them all. The test placemark is from GE. THe place test.kmz was created by SU (my guess). I don't know where the skb file comes from and what it is...
Thanks for your help.

SU 6 Pro fails to place model to GE (Google Earth)
With SU6 Pro (6.4.112) and GE (4.3.7204.0836 (beta)) opened, I correctly get the current view using the get current view tool. Then I create a simple 3D model and place it so that it is properly located on the terrain (or create the model then place it, same result). Then I press the Place model button. I can see a start of a progress bar but it stops very quickly and does not appear to go to 100%. There is no model in the temporary places in GE. However, I can export the model as .kmz and and it correctly opens at the right location (and where it should be on the terrain)in GE.
Any idea of why the place command may fail? Anybody having the same problem?
Thanks for your help.
