    • Minimalist living room with Thea...

      Hi all,
I'm still exploring Thea, I have played a little with the darkroom settings... πŸ˜„
Here is a scene that I setup in Sketchup, I just add the Chandelier, merged in thea. 4 hours each images (Lap top) 65 passes, TR1.

Hope you like it , comments are always welcome... πŸ˜‰

beautiful stuff, as usual, Fred. is it easy to maneuver things around in Thea? I, too, have it but haven't used it very much (yet)

I'm very interested in those downlights you've got there.. how do they work?

Hi Jason, Yes easy to use and after 3 days, I can manage a lot.
Thea is very smooth, and every thing you need is on the main interface... πŸ˜‰
The downlight the you see are the IES light from the exporter.

      A new one ...

Thanks, Nomer, not a Master yet !!!
Here is a new scene, same way to work, notice that the rug is made in su with the fur plugin... πŸ˜‰
All lights on, not really eco-friendly... πŸ˜•

      Hi Pilou,

In term of result, Twilight should have nearly the same result, But as Thea is a 64 bit application, the time to clear the image and especially the glass material is quicker. The only difference should be between SU and Thea as I can merged into Thea, what I want from my 3ds Ware house... πŸ˜‰ and no matter now how heavy or complicated are the model... πŸ˜„

    • RE: Sir, your Cognac is served...

      I continue here...

I have setup the sun position in SU and then exported to Thea render...
After several try... 😳 , and because of the bad scale of some of my furniture in 3ds... πŸ˜•
I finally arrived to import a bed, a light, etc... πŸ˜„
And here is the render image, TR1 preset, 3hours on my crying laptop πŸ˜• ...

So I think that I will try to work now following this way, very smooth the su file is only 3mb.
Hope you like it. I am a beginner with Thea.

    • Sir, your Cognac is served...

      Hi to all,

Yesterday I saw a topic where Solo has merged some high poly trees into his scene in the Thea Render Studio. As I am not a great modeller, and as I have a lot of furniture in 3ds format, I decided to try this way to work too... πŸ˜‰
So I have designed and modelled a simple bedroom, Round corner, Profile builder,etc... πŸ˜’ Just the Curtains are from the Warehouse... πŸ˜‰ Here is the su image...

      Hi all,
I have thea since a year now, but it'i my second render with it.
I am very happy with the result, 2 hours on my I5 laptop at TR1 preset.
Small pp with PS (As I do not know yet to use the PP in the darkroom of Thea)

Hope you like it and dear Thea-riders, please comment !! πŸ˜‰
