Hi to all, I do had the same problem.
I tried almost everything and fail.
Then i solve the problem, in my case i have window 10, and i download a small software to take ownership full access of the 2 folders: program file - sketchup folder and %appdata% sketchup folder too.
Then i open Sketchup as administrator, positioned all my toolbars, save as default template and closed.
And Voila finally all is ok.

What can I say about this software... wow wowo wooowwwwoooo !!!!
Really incredible so far after few hours of use.
For sketchup, of course will wait for the future update as Bump map, IES light, proxy etc...
But really i am impress.
Sketchup model, render in 8 second almost, no PP, direct from the oven.
Solo's plant pack works very well !

My Spec:
MSI laptop GT72 2QD DOMINATOR- nVidia Geforce GTX970M- 16gb ram - i7 4720HQ

I am preparing some project for the French Alps in September (Courchevel).
Here is a design concept for some Suite hotel room.
As usual Sketchup for the model, merged 3ds furniture, rendered TR1 12 Hours at 2800 and resized for the forum. Small PP.
Comments are welcome... My Tutorial will be ready soon...


I have done a Clay render to setup the lighting without influence of any materials.

Here is a new project, 90% Sketchup model, Thea render, overnight render-55 passes-TR1 preset at 2800 then resized for the forum.
In one or two day, Tuto and shared Model in preparation.
Hope you like it, comments are welcome...

Here is another render, I changed the chairs mat, rendered TR1 overnight 10 hours 40 passes at 3000 and resized at 1400, small pp.

Here is a render of my virtual meeting room...
I will use in my Website, and also on my future brochure...
All is Made in Sketchup, except the phone on the table (3ds model merged)
2 hours 45 passes TR1 and little PP as usual.

Hi all,
Modern mood in this new project.
The same process, Sketchup to Thea then 3ds furniture merged.
This time 30 minutes to setup and overnight render 150 passes.
Small PP in the darkroom and ACDsee Pro for the frame, the signature, and a very small temperature amount.
Comments are welcome as always.
