You are right about trying to use it on Linux. I will be loading a Win Os within the next few days. Sketchup will probably be the only reason I install Windows. For now I will try to uninstall it on linux and reinstall later. BTW is that a Tasmanian Tiger???

      Thanks for your help!

      Sketchup Ver 8.015158

Here's the first error I get when I open sketchup. Meaning as soon as the program starts
and you get to the Susan screen, think that's her name. As soon as I copied this error message Sketchup crashed. Not able to open any menu or exit the program, have to kill it with the kill command. I uninstalled SketchUcation Plugins and no longer get that error but I do get a new one:Error Loading File BGSketchup_Bill_of_material.rb
      undefined local variable or method

I may just uninstall sketchup and see If I can find the ver you suggested.I will be Dual Booting so once I install Windblows I will probably install the newest version of Sketchup. But I know wine does not support the newest version. Wish Sketchup was ported directly to linux.

    • Can't save file in Sketchup 8

Pretty sure I was able to save files before I loaded SketchUcation download. The reason I'm not sure is because I just built a new computer and reloaded everything to this machine I'm on now. Also using 8 in linux and have been for a couple of years using Wine. Anyway the problem is I can no longer save a file, which really sucks.
