Thanks nomerdona.
Here is the inside of the truck AND the cabin from an earlier boat photo. I shot the cabin looking through a window so I could get reflections of the outside. I'm still not too sure about the blown out window... right now I like it because it is a natural element and kind of feels right.

you knwo what i found with my camera DE, it has a multiple exposure setting, where when you put it on that dial, it will quickly take 3 different exposure of the subjects within a second. its a kinda like multipe burst.

My camera will only bracket three/half stops and ideally I need a minimum of original/-2/+2 for a true HDRI. The bigger issue is if there is any movement like a windy day pushing clouds or some object that is moving even a quick bracket time of say 1 second means every frame has movement and the HDR just can't align them cleanly enough for a sharp image.
first was just the grafitti, now it has a truck. are you doing some photo animation DE?
This is actually a composite of two photo images. I took a shot of the truck I was happy with but the background was uninteresting - I then went searching for a suitable background and found the abandoned graffiti building. Then I comped the two shots and started to play.
I am interested in the 'fine art' of digital photography, the 'Three Kids' is a good example, so I am experimenting with various processing techniques.

Here's another style approach for the truck - I like how a change to desaturation conveys a different emotional message.

WOWWOOWW! 😮 DE hdri right?

I'm shooting everything RAW and using various editing techniques depending on the subject. As far as HDR goes, it's quite restrictive since the subject needs to be virtually movement free and that really limits it's usability for me. Right now, I use PhotoMatix (PSCS4 HDR is lame) to process some of the single images after I EV alterer them - then I tonemap and finally take them back into PS and/or LightRoom. Each photo is a different set of challenges.

BUBBALOVE... nice to see you are back. Cool clock.

Cheers,
DE

I really respond to the emotional aspect of storytelling in your boat series photography - great shots.
I'm playing around with various development techniques and working on a photography exhibition with a few friends.
Do you post process exclusively in PhotoShop?
I've upgraded to PS/CS4 - Lightroom and Aperture.

I've been on Macs for 15 years and run three including two MacBook Pros.

1 - Go for the 17", it's not much bigger and the extra screen real estate pays off, you will miss it if you add a larger second monitor and also use the PowerBook as a standalone. I have a 24" Samsung and they work great together - there are also switchers that allow you to add two external monitors.
2 - I also use a MAC Bluetooth mini keyboard - amazing, and Logitech Bluetooth mouse (personally I have never liked MAC keyboards and mice) Go wireless whenever possible.
3 - As far as Sketchup goes - I am left handed and customized all my shortcuts - very easy to do.
4 - I also use Podium and find it fast and seamless on MAC. As a point of interest - I also run stuff like Photoshop CS4 and FinalCut...
5 - Max out the Ram.
6 - Be careful about using freebie maintennance progs like Cocktail - I personally think people use them too often, they are not a magic bullet and if they go sideways they can cause headaches.

My guess is that once you get into MAC and build your software you will faze out PC - good luck,

• RE: The cat meat trade in China
Animals eat other animals. We should be allowed to eat other animals too. And when animals kill other animals, sometimes it's quick, other times it can be extremely brutal. I think killing animals painlessly is fair enough; after all, for things to live, usually something else has to die.

This is about as ignorant as it gets - comparing humans to 'other' animals as a means of justification.
Since when does something have to die so others can live.
Whoa.
