Folding a surface
Hi all, If you can imagine the attached pic as a piece of paper (or better still perspex a few mm's thick) folded into that shape - my question is where would I start to create that as a 3D model. It would have a variety of curves and angles. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. THX.

RE: Lumion vs other rendering/animation software
Wow Kristoff....now that's a recommendation. I appreciate your time and advice. Based on that I will indeed check out Vue (and Lumen RT - thanks also Kim!) FYI - I'm employed in graphic design/CAD for an urban developer so would use this for anything from a local park to a full village. And as for my computer, I'm soon to renew so it's important I make the right software choice and check the minimum system requirements. Thanks again.

Lumion vs other rendering/animation software
Hi All
Looking to evaluate animation/rendering software for use with SketchUp - absolutely love what Lumion offers but can anyone recommend other comparable software I should really take a look at? Espec those with large landscape/plant libraries and animated cars/people/trees etc. Thanks. -

You have not give the name of your Graphic Card !
Light Up, Podium, Twillight, Lumen Rt etc...
Thx Pilou. My graphic card is actually an Nvidia Quadro NVS 4200M (more of a 'cad' type card) whereas Lumion needs a better 'gaming' card like an NVidia 460GTX / ATI 5850 or faster. Will look at those others you listed. As I mentioned we really need that extra option of saving mini-movies out of the fly-thru's. Cheers.

Rendering Software (Incl. FLY-THRU's)?
Hi all. I'm after some recommendations for rendering software for SketchUp that INCLUDE the ability to create fully rendered flythroughs as well. I've seen Lumion in action and it's impressive but have a problem with the graphics card in my work laptop for that software. Can anyone recommend any other software I could look at? Thx.
