The problem is that the user must be able to add own information that could be just about anything. i think if the creator will have a big range of user will understand, that the best way is to do this in english.
lastly i have had an example for russian or japanese creators that write the description in the own language. only russian or japanese user will understand this.
no other would be use this content if this is not in english.look at other plugins written from chinese developer. english is important to popularize this plugins world wide.

i think you need only 4 main categories and than some subcategorieshow many route of transport you know?
i know railroad, street, water and air. ok space for the future is possible, too

than you could split this in subcategories.remmember you, you can not only design railroad. your plugin can more than this.
is a good idea to communicate this.

deanI scaled the slider so it would be easier to run at low speeds at rail yards but you can enter much higher values in the text box
.I don't know if I should re-scale the slider so it can be used for high speed trains or perhaps even make it logarithmic or something so it can be used for both. That could however be less user intuitive when the user for instance want to double the speed and tries to drag the slider twice as far from its start.

if the english text begin with uppercase you must translate this in uppercase, too. look at your picture. i know in german is that the same. some words will written in lowercase. thats look better.
example:
Il fait mauvais temps.
It's foul weather today.
when the english text look like this
It's Foul Weather Today.
you must write
Il Fait Mauvais Temps.

i hate mixed language, too. i dont need german translation. ok i have now written the translation file, however i don´t use this.why? if i publish a screenshot all other can read this text of windows and dialogues.
if i have an error and i publish this error in a german translation, nobody will understand this.least common denominator (LCD) is english.
this would be difficult when pilou asking in french and eneroth answer in swedish
