@Charles, you bring it to the point πŸ˜„ ❗
@Steven, would you please show me how the excelent texturing of the triangled floor tiles is done here?

Now that I was able to find time Hornoxx...

Poliigon did an amazing job specifically with this PBR texture set. I usually add surface imperfections to my gloss/reflection maps but this one came with a wet imperfection particularly.

This ones awesome Chedda! I really like the environment around the subject. How were you able to create the aperture effects (blurred lights/reflections)? Is that a maxwell setting?

These look great Liam! I would vote for the 1st image personally because I think the sky wants to be somewhat overexposed for realism towards actual photography. The 2nd would help if the interior spaces were lit up a tad bit more.

Thanks HornOxx! I am using Enscape to render my scenes.

      Hey guys,

Over the past couple of months, I've been working on a personal project outside of work just to keep the creativity alive. Recently, I have been really interested in the design of railroad stations after visiting a couple of them in my area and I wanted to see if there was a way to design a soft and cozy, yet rustic living space that would incorporate those typologies at a smaller scale.

      Hope you enjoy,
      Steve

Also, here's a birdseye section from the SketchUp model. (Using SketchUp to detail from a Revit export)

Just recently modeled and rendered a custom kitchen designed by us at DeGraw & DeHaan Architects that I would like to share!

Used Enscape to produce all images.

      Thanks!

I doubt any of this is new to you seeing as the Romans and Venetians used it. The use of adjustable levels of water could be used instead of soil which may speed up the process but height of tower may be limited. Enlarged concrete foundations with adaptable buoyancy could do the job but it's theoretical. Yours is a fascinating project, thanks for showing it.

Its definitely a unique set of detailing when thinking of all the opportunities and setbacks. Hopefully we don't have to worry about the rise of sea levels in a while.

      The future of Venezia...
please tell us something more about the process: rendering, postpro.. .

Venezia is always an inspiration for these hypothetical projects we may see in the near future.

Sure! I used Enscape to render everything. I find it to be extremely helpful and fast when coming up with new ideas and creating light and form compositions.

In Post Pro, I went through several light and color passes to enhance the composition. I especially focused on color composition and complimentaries. Check out Arqui9's youtube tutorials, they're really helpful.

https://isleofdogslife.wordpress.com/tag/cofferdam/ This particular use of cofferdams is the one I was talking about but instead of using earth fill, a lower level of water controlled by something like the Thames barrier.

Wow that's really interesting, I guess hypothetically something like that could be done during the construction phase although it would be very laborious. This platform I was thinking could cantilever off of the existing structure with posts underneath.

      Thanks for the share.
