        ... love this work and scene idea!! and the refractions of light are ingeniously good πŸ‘ the only suggestion - I would represent the drop of water slightly more deformed by its weight...

          Thanks for the comment Hornoxx. Yes thats an interesting observation, but i think the smallest droplets are spherical. My reference image shows no gravitational deformation.

                This ones awesome Chedda! I really like the environment around the subject. How were you able to create the aperture effects (blurred lights/reflections)? Is that a maxwell setting?

                  Yes it's all in Maxwell. I chose the aperture, iso, speed & focal length. I also used an aperture and obstacle map for the lens effects.
