Simple art and planet like thingysHi! I was messing around with sketchup and was trying to make something cool. After few hours I finally managed to make something interesting. Some gas planet like things and some other stuff. Some gas planet like things and some other stuff.I made all of these in sketchup and I did not use photoshop at all.
I Used only 1 object that I made in sketchup. To get different results I looked it from different angles and places. I coloured the object only one colour per picture and used fog and different colours of it to get these results.

RE: The Art of SketchUp - part 1: FantasyWoW nice!
I love that Caer Mathos. It does look a lot like Gothic Church.

RE: Trying to make a 20mb model to a 2 mb oneI have not downlaoded the model as it takes forever to download that 22mb from sendspace.
But as I look at the picture it looks like you have some textures on the model? Usually textures take a lot of space. I had a very low poly model that was only 200kb big but when I added textures it turned into a 110mb.Edit: Ok after 10 minutes of downloading it I got it. You have used plenty of textures and they take ~15mb. You should delete all unnecessary textures.

Texturing is really annoying but otherwise it is really cool thing to work with.

RE: [WIP] Estonian submarine LembitI have been having problems with sketchup last few weeks. First Skype had some sort of conflict with my PC and sketchup suffered a lot from this. Now all of a sudden out of nowhere sketchup lags a lot when hardware acceleration is turned on. I'm not sure what is wrong.
I had latest sketchup 8 installed and worked fine but then one day started to lag with hardware acceleration. I reinstalled and still had same problem. Then I installed older version of sketchup 8 (google sketchup) and it worked fine and then 1 minute later I got smacked in the face and it started to lag again. Yet again turning off hardware acceleration seems to fix this but without hardware acceleration I can't work on my submarine because of even worse performance.
I doubt my GPU is dying and I didn't touch the drivers when the lag started. Also I'm sick of reinstalling windows after every 6 months or so... frustrating.

Make sure you save lots of copies of the hull before you start carving it out. Yeah. In the past 6 years I have learned a lot. Big mess (first save):

I wish I had so much time to make so many awesome models and also would love to be as good with photoshop.
