Yes a great aircraft, a shame it was retired so early.

It is nice, the Red Arrows use scheme changes to great effect and the render shows this to good effect.

Thanks for the comments guys. Regarding the white balance i used a wild film response to give everything that retro blue look. I never as a rule do any post processing or adjustments to a render so thats a no no 😉 Mike, yes space would be more ideal but lighting is tricky as a black hdr image isn't very useful i suppose i could have used a small distant sun or a nearby emitting jupiter. But here Discovery has returned to earth orbit it's been lost since the 2010 film 😉

The dome shell itself tapers from its feet in thickness from 60cm to 10cm at the crown. I believe it presented an engineering challenge at the time.
