No birds in Holland?-) I can't leave my car outdoors a week without getting the glass bombed:-(

Hm, yes, I see how that might be a problem. But seeing as this building is supposed to blend in with nature, a few dirt stains would only help that effect. Not that bird dropping should be left there though, that's a bit nasty even for nature life. But cleaning the windows should be as simple as turning open the garden hose. :3

I had this idea to make a modern design holiday home that would respect it's natural surroundings, but at the same time would make the inhabitants feel comfortable yet in touch with nature. Therefore I've chosen for allot of large windows in untraditional shapes.

Below you have the living room, the kitchen, shower/bath and the toilet. Upstairs you have an entire floor dedicated to the bedroom. The bedroom is not decorated yet, therefore I did not found it necessary to post any screenshots of it.

Oh wow.. I guess it was not much of an original idea anymore, now was it. x3
Ah well, at least they're somewhat different, so not an epic fail yet. :3

I'd love to get right in there and have an epic sleep.

Apart from plogue sounding like plague.....its a nice idea haha.

      Good thing it's got air-conditioning fart πŸ˜†

      Me toooooo.. πŸ˜„

Yeah, the name was sort of a risk. But somehow The Plogue sounds silly and non intimidating. :3 When I'm able to finance the build I'm going to build a prototype. I imagine sleeping in this thing would be quite.. well.. calming. :3

Can't go without the air conditioning. x3 Too cold is one thing in that case you could always add extra blankets, but sweeting in bed is just torture. Especially in confined places.

Cool idea! πŸ‘ Could you maybe make a section and then we may be able to see inside better?

      What does "Plogue" mean?

Ah, thank you very much. I'll try to take some better snap shots tomorrow and put them up here. Besides, this photo is relatively old, changes were made since this one.

''Plogue'' doesn't really mean anything in particular.. at least I don't think it does. ^W^; It's just a silly name toughed up purely to be non intimidating. And besides, people will be guessing what it means, therefore adds a little bit of mystery to the bed. ;3

I've been having some pretty bad nights lately.. Soooo.. I toughed: why not design the perfect bed, just for fun. :3 Of course it's still a prototype..

Though I might just recreate this. ^W^ I'd love to try it.

      Feature list:

      Movable stairs

Big dubble bed/Adjustable back- leg rest

      Wide screen plasma tv

      Heater/bed warmer

      Air conditioning

      Small cooler

      8 power plugs

      3 storage cabinets

      calming/friendly colors

    • SketchUp 7 Basic - CSS-003 - Work in progress (Page 2)

[Continuation of this post: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=20878&p=175316#p175316 ]

Please note that this model was intentionally created low in details, trying to recreate the quality of the N64. I intended it to go into Second Life once it was done, however I've learned (too late) that currently importing models directly from SketchUp into Second life is either very difficult, or just impossible on this point in time.

It's a starship that I called (for now) the CSS-003 - The Scar. Directly on top of it, is a sister ship called the ESS-004 - The PhiTon. As I would think you would need something like that when you get stranded in the deep void of space.

The following images will show step by step progress on creation. Some images contain content that later on got deleted because they were either too detailed or just looked out of place.

It's still a work in progress as you can see, and many models will be changed and more detailed in the final product. But for now filesize is the biggest priority.

On the left the Medical Department lobby, on the right 2 undecorated surgery rooms.

Added textures and made slight modifications.

      The actual Cryo Bay.

Start of the cafeteria and kitchen.

The entire cafeteria. Still needs some minor work.

Just some new tunnel modules. The blast doors to seal off possible hazardous area's.

Beginning of the central control room.

Halo's Pillar of Autumn inspired consoles.

Why not post the images on here?

I've tried that, but it proved problematic. When hosted from another site, they keep disappearing as soon as the page is refreshed (or viewed by someone else). They just keep showing as ''image''. It's very frustrating.

      Or did you mean uploading them here? To be honest, I would have no idea how to do that. I'm sort of a forum noob in general. ^W^;
