RE: Trouble creating rounded molding.
It Looks like the upload is for files stored on my computer, I am using the free web based version of sketchup, and my files are in trimble connect. I can'r figure out how to link them here, nor how to download the file to my pc to upload. Any Thoughts?

Push-pull will probably get stuck at the mitres.
There's more than one way of doing this. Here's one way. Draw a rectangle on the square end of one of your mouldings, so that it's perpendicular to the length. Draw your profile on that with the arc and delete the parts you don't need.
Draw 3 lines, one for each section. Select these lines, activate Follow Me, click on the face. It will form all 3 in one click.
If you share your SketchUp file here, we could show you how to do it on your model.
That's real cool!
I would be more than happy to share the file, although I'm not sure how i do that?
I have 2 files, the first I created a roundover, the second I started because I logged in at work and couldn't find my original file so i started new and created a cove, both obviously getting hung up at the same point. -
Trouble creating rounded molding.
Hi,
I’m brand new to SketchUp, and have no design experience. To learn a little bit, I thought I’d try to sketch a bookcase. I made the carcase, and added trim to the bottom. 3 separate pieces wrapped around the case, and I mitered the corners. I grouped each piece and moved in to place. Now I would like to add a round over to the top of all the trim, but I’m having trouble figuring out how.
First, when I make the arc, I cannot use push pull or follow me to create the profile. I have to right click and select edit group, and even then the profile doesn’t come out like it should- it does some weird cutoff at the end of the run.
Second, I can only make the profile on the piece I start on, I can’t wrap around all 3 pieces.
I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong, And did I screw up in the beginning by making the trim 3 separate pieces instead of starting the trim in one corner and using follow me to wrap around all 3 sides of the case. Thanks
Adam
