thanks, i was aiming for an effect between the darkness inside and the natural lighting, but I will certainly need to pay more attention to exposure =D

heres another one i fooled around with today

finally finished a design for class which started in september and finished this morning (after a 14 hour marathon in front of the computer 😎 )
I have handed it in already, so I'm looking for some C&C, especially on the 2 interior renders (thanks to Majid's tutorial!)

im going to use the model to experiment with more rendering and i'll post those up here as well, cant stop rendering =D
      thanks!

    • Ignore - problem solved!

      hi guys,
i'm setting up different scenes for different floors of my model, i.e. scene 1 with section cut across the 1st floor, scene 2 with section cut across 2nd floor.
but the section cuts just wont save into that scene!
after i make scene 1, i move the section up to cut floor 2, and make scene 2, but when i press the scene 1 tab the section plane doesnt move back down.
and yeah, the save section cut box is checked...
i tried it with camera position and it worked fine....just the section option....
anyone care to shed some light onto this problem?
      thanks guys

      thanks frederik
I updated it a bit more with some suggestions from the TR forum, it looks a bit better now, but i still need to work on it quite a bit to look presentable!
I never thought rendering was so hard =P

oh and i gave the light a tad of color to make it warmer...although i feel its a bit too yellow, got to whiten it a bit next time

I tried to lower the brightness of the light strength, went from 1.5 to 1, is it still too bright? I notice theres still glare on the cabinet shelves... the cabinet material is 'shiny' though, maybe i should change it to satin or matt?

this was with easy preset 4, 1 hr 17 mins.

Thanks solo, i have seen your work (I do stalk this forum quite a bit - the the TR one for the past few days)
I will correct that along with making the light fixtures.

You are right, I tend to try to learn too many things at once and in the end get mediocre results i everything 😞
Hopefully this time i will do it right and learn things step by step hehe

      Hi!
So I'm all new to this modelling and render thing......so please be patient with me if i sound stupid!
Actually I started to play around with Sketchup a month or so ago, but i havnt really spent too much time on it until the past few days.

I modelled and most of the things inside, but i took the dining table/chairs and the bar stools from the 3D warehouse.
I realize i forgot to model the lights. What else should I be doing to make it look better?
Hopefully I will have some more presentable renders soon =D

this was after 1hr 25 mins, still rendering right now but I couldnt wait to put this up and get some critics πŸ˜›
I will upload another pic once it reaches 3 hours or so
