...probably, somebody still do not clearly understand how it works... giving the post info of how I do the textures to SHOES. The same way I did Skies ,ski boots and wheels that I showed earlier ( I gave the material to GAI and they are going to be restored soon). This is probably the learning video of how to work in PHOTOSHOP...

...May be somebody is interested in the variants of shoe1? Please, here's the post info...

urgen, awesome work there!
I was hoping somebody could download the file and host it on an english server, I'm flying blind on the russian download page - I've tried the links (after the counter is done, that url) without success.

Urgen,
So good!!..thanks.
Questions:
What kind of camera are you using?
Are you using a "light box" or natural lighting?
Have you found an average optimum file size for you photo textures?
Cheers!!I use standard photoshop's filters. Here I used the "filterforge"(Freepack 1 – Metals).
http://www.filterforge.com/download/ ----- it is very funny! .. -
hello everyone!
first of all want to wish a Merry X-mas for those, who are orthodox. I've been thinking some poeple do not fully understand how Ichange the textures... I work with SU5...and the others mostly work with SU6... sending post info in SU6...Of course, this is not such an effective thing as in SU5, but more understandable for the users of SKETCHUP.
The main thing is MAKE COPY(CTRL+C) of one from the sizes in the window EDIT TEXTURE of the basic texture and PASTE(CTRL+V) in the same window of the new texture... this is simple...

... I loved the photo of this thing on the i-net and wanted to make a model... open SKP,press" slideshow"...
-
... o-o-o and this is probably not the component in its full sense. 550 kb for a pen (even a golden one) - this is too much.
I modelled it without controlling the quantity of polygones (I suddenly decided so). Lets call it just a model... That's all for today. Bye!

Cheers!!...Sorry, didn't get the whole question ...a language trouble plus a new year excitement. ..I am not a photographer and take the photos from different places...mostly on the internet (free pics in e-shops), rarely on photosites for money (if I really like it and the price is not outrageous)...
A piece of advise for work:- firstly, the photo should be of a really good quality.
- the size of the final photo should be not more than 100KB/
- I usually try to do the textures of a big size with decreasing their quality (JPG), although it is not always possible...
- I do the textures in PHOTOSHOP, always a bit sharper than I want it to be...in sketchup they look pretty good...
Hi to everybody!!!One more time HAPPY HOLIDAYS,
MOre information next year!!!

DUDE! This is phenomenal stuff. That purse with the bows on it especially blows me away.

A very Happy New year to you...Your work speaks for your talent...
