If it's all done in SketchUp you really should make a tutorial for the rest of us. πŸ‘

...well. first of all, thank you for visiting my topic and such pleasant feedback on the components. Unfortunately, my work keeps me quite busy doing things that are not related to sketchup so that I cannot be online often and answer soon, because my English is not that advanced πŸ˜’ (my daughter types for me πŸ˜„).
I have got quite a few interesting ideas, which I will share with you as soon as I have some free tine.

Pixero, regarding the tutorial, I will try to make it. It is not entirely sketchup, rather sketchup and PHOTOSHOP ❗ work we are talking about. Latest SKETCHUP (7) gives a great opportunity to create components easier than before. If you look through the topic where the components of boots are, you can see the core principle of how it is done.

I did not forget about the forum and you! πŸ˜„
              Thank you!

hi urgen, great models. you say: We need:
1 the model (pre-made without textures),
2 photo of high quality (front, left or right),
and finally, besides SKETCHUP knowledge, you have to be skilled in PHOTOSHOP.
Without it, I am convinced, it is almost impossible to create a good model...

maybe you could show us a small tut of how you work flow is? you start with a texture and then make a model?
                  looking forward to it πŸ˜‰
another way to combine textures and models is using an uvmapper, the free 3d blender has a very good one build in.
