Parts that match...
-
Hi folks. New to the forum⌠but have been SUâing for quite a while. Mostly âSimâ structures.
However, I finally decided to tackle something difficult. Well, it took several attempts but I finally managed to get all the curved parts of this model to meet (without gaping holes).Anyway, thought some of you might enjoy the WIP.
Have a sparkling day,
Bob

Nice start. Welcome to the forum.
I look forward to the convoy of images you will be posting on your progress. -
Thanx Eric,
Progressing nicely, although not accurately. That is to say I'm doing this model using the "Mark I Eyeball" only. It's more an exercise in compound curves than anything else. In fact the 'flat' planes are almost non-existent. The back of the sleeper, some areas around the 'cat-walk' and naturally the chassis rails.
As you can see there is still a bit to go. BTW, the front fenders are not complete, nor properly scaled.
Anyway... thought y'all might get a kick out of it. Have a sparkling evening.

Truck is looking good Bob. Are going going to add lots of details like trims, lights, wipers, grab bars and steps?

Thanx Ross,
Still very much a WIP. The Volvo tends to be an âaeroâ design. So a lot of your âPeterbilt/Kenworthâ type details (air horns, grab-bars, air cleaners, chrome plated âanythingâ) are generally not typical to the 770 model. However I do plan to detail the model (sleeper windows, doors, door latches, lights, wipers, etc). as well as getting it a tad closer to an actual Volvo appearance.
Meanwhile⌠here is a recent (last night) WIP render. Thanx again.
