first off...where is the search function from inside the forums?...secondly thanks in advance to all for the good info you'll provide in this forum...and thirdly, I'm in the market for a new laptop purely for SU and Softplan applications...did a search and read all applicable results however nothing is current enough with respect to Vista (i.e. Vista beta dude or XP proven). And video and memory... i'm running 6.0.1099.
Also...what system would you buy for +-1,500 and not too worried about presentation abilities...just a smooth, efficient processing of large models?...in multiple windows.

For your specific search for a good laptop, ghave a look at our "Hardware forum" here:
http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewforum.php?f=72Plenty of thought have been shared there (this - finding a good computer for SU - seems to be the major issue for all the people).
Your SU is the latest (just a week "old") release for sure so you need not worry about that.
