Hello everyone. I have a question regarding some errors I've been receiving when trying to open a file. I've been working on a model here and there for around a week, but I've encountered a problem. Yesterday when I tried to open the .skp file that I had just saved a couple hours ago, it gave me the error message "This does not appear
to be a SketchUp model!" I'm sure it's a SketchUp model because that's all I used to make it.

I also tried to open the .skb file, and it gave me a Validity Check error, saying "Results of Validity Check: Problems were found that could not be fixed! The north direction for CShadowInfo (12) is not valid."

Has anyone experienced the same problem and been able to fix it? I'm using SketchUp version 5.0.295.0. I can also send the files to anyone who thinks they may be able to help. Gaieus kindly offered to help and I sent him the files however he had the same problems I did. It would be a pain to have to redo the entire model, so I appreciate any replies. Thank you for your time.

I think if one other person has had a look and can't open, then your file is definitely corrupted.
If you don't have any older copies of it, I suggest your contact SketchUp support and they might be able to salvage your file for you.

Thank you, I may do that, or as I really don't expect it to work I might just say forget it and redo the model. I still would like to know what the problem was so I don't repeat it (though I doubt it was something I did wrong). Because of that I may e-mail SketchUp support anyways to see if they can shed some light on the issue.
