It is possible in SU. After an 'intersect with model' I had a number of holes to fix. 'Tools/Utilities/Make Face' takes care of most of them. Other times you get the message "Lines do not form a loop", and sometimes a line which appears as one is actually two segments.
But there is the odd time when nothing seems to work. You can retrace the triangle 10x, delete and redraw each side, copy it and move it somewhere else, mark the corners and redraw all sides, zoom it, move the whole thing - nothing seems to work.
But when I scaled it up by 10 it was fixable right away, and is still there when you rescale.

      Have a nice day,

      Eric

        Eric,

This last sentence may be the "key" for the problem - SU tends not to draw the faces when the geomeztry is too small. What you did to fix it is the usual way.
Still the error message is pretty funny - thanks for posting!
