Hi all, i just wanted to share this video with the community.

      http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=rEzugxybKmA&eurl=http://digitalurban.blogspot.com/

I guess that there is a revolution coming, when these 3D prints are available to every home, we will be able to print what ever objects we want, imagine that you break the battery cover of your cellphone, just go to the cellphone site and download the part you want then print it and ready to go! Your friend has an amazing Photo frame that you really like? ask him to send it in to you and print it, go to the IKEA site and check the freebies that are available for download, will this happen in a near future?
3d objects will be send by the web. Maybe in the future simple objects will no longer be produced in factories and bought, we will have them all free in places like the warehouse on the web.
And sketchup is the simple free 3D tool available for all homes so will skp be the 3d format of the future?

And I thought that the "Vaccuuform" that came out when I was kid was cool for making model parts.

        😄

May all your dimensions be the sum of their total.

          Hi folks.

Lets hope that we will be able to have access to a lot of materials since the usual plastic used for 3D printing will not satisfy the required mechanical resistance of many of the objects we need.

Just go around your house and make a list of what you see : steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, copper, brass, thermoplastic, clear plastic, polystyrene, polypropylene, glass, paper, cardboard, wood of all kind, concrete, brick, plaster, etc.

          Just ideas.

Jean (Johnny) Lemire from Repentigny, Quebec, Canada.
