      Hey there,

Thanks for doing what you do. My workflow issues revovle around organizing materials, textures, bumpmaps, clipmaps, components, formfont models, plugins, ect. It is difficult to update all my folders and to keep track of exactly what I've got. Are there any recommendations on how to create a "database of your databases"? Any input is helpfull.

      Thanks,

      eric

          Well that was helpful!

If anyone else knows what I mean, could you post some ideas? Basically, when I open my component folder, I only see little tiny icons. It is impossible to keep track of their dimensions, colors, and manufacturers within the component name. Are there any interior designers or people who use a large number of specialized components in here?

          Thanks a lot,

          Eric

Not as far as I know, maybe post it in the SketchUp wishlist.

What most seem to people do is build the description into their naming convention. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Well you could always print a list with a thumbnail with dimensions on it. Or something.
Then again Ive never been much to organize... anything at all in fact.
